The first ride I took was with Patty and the destination was just downtown Akron to grab lunch. It is a nice short ride and there are pink flowers growing along the towpath going north from where we live. None of us remember having seen these flowers before, and they are nice. If nothing else they add color to what is usually just greens and browns. We saw blue heron along the way and they seemed to be hiding in the shade. It has been a very warm summer.The bike ride with Eddy ended up being about 36 miles. It was to Canal Fulton and specifically to get what ended up being dinner. The Cherry Street Creamery is a place to get food and ice cream and it is located on the towpath. We actually intended to do this earlier this summer, but we kept putting it off. Maybe next year we will make this trip earlier and then again later.
