Time to Kill

I had some time to kill in between classes today, so I drove out to Stow to run some errands. I imagine later in the semester I’ll need this precious time to work on assignments, study, take notes, and many other things, but for right now this is my time.

First thing I did was run to Fantastic Sam’s to get my haircut.  There was a girl there that I’ve never had my haircut by before and she was extremely thorough. She was also a bit rough, but that’s fine, I’m not made of glass.  I always get my hair buzzed with the trimmers and usually I get the girl that is apparently in a hurry, so they always miss a spot. Not this time. I think her name was Melissa and she got every bit of my head with those things.

Then I went to Goodyear and got the oil changed in my car. I asked if they could have me out by 5, because I needed to get to class, and they said they could, so it was off to walk around Stow. I walked down to the GameStop. I walked down to the Chipotle that they just built and got something to eat. I walked all around just to kill some time. When I went back my car was done just like they said it would be. Off to class I went.

Shipping?

Right now I am supposed to have a new blender to replace the one that burned out, a wireless mouse receiver from Logitech to replace the one that broke, a pair of shoes to replace the ones that had some sort of weird defect in them, a universal remote control that was on sale for $50 and that I ordered on the 24th from Amazon, and a book I ordered from Half.com that I need for class all shipping to me right now.

I’m trying to think if there is anything else I’m supposed to be looking forward to.

PC Repair

Brian just called from the University of Akron PC repair and they will be able to order the parts and fix my laptop. I’m supposed to get another call when the parts come in, so this should be pretty painless and it doesn’t look like I’ll be missing too much time without my laptop.

Don’t know if I mentioned it, but my sisters kids dumped the laptop over on it’s side from a table when the receiver for the wireless mouse was in a USB port on the side. It of course landed directly on the receiver which jammed itself into the side of the laptop bending and breaking the USB ports and breaking the chassis as well. It was $20 to order a new receiver from Logitech and the laptop is covered under the warranty, so that isn’t an issue.
