Another Bike Ride

I took a ride today without the kids.  I just needed some time to myself.  I didn’t want to worry about loading all three bikes, or water bottles, or waiting till they got home from school.  I just wanted to take a trip and get some stress out on the trail.

It was raining off and on the whole time.  I saw Jo riding back from Peninsula, because his company took a ride out there for lunch.  Kind of like a business field trip. I decided that I would ride out there as well. That’s exactly what I did.

I only stopped once and honestly when it was all done and said I was sore and tired. That’s exactly how I wanted to feel. I didn’t want to feel as though I could have given anymore to the trail. I wanted to leave it all there. I was pleased.

I don’t have a single picture, because without the kids I don’t have any real reason to stop. I also don’t have them to take pictures of. It’s just not the same experience at all without them. I enjoy it with them for completely different reasons.

New Old Friends

Codex (Anthony) and Trewr (Andrew) came over today. I have just recently reconnected with Codex, but seeing Trewr again, wow what a blast from the past. We had some time sitting around remembering all the stuff we got into back in the AGL (Akron Gamers League), which was a LAN party we used to have at the Hard Drive Cafe back in the day.

It’s worth noting that neither the AGL nor the Hard Drive Cafe exist today. Honestly I don’t know if gamers will ever go back to days when they feel the need to huddle in a room with their computers and play games face to face, but I hope so.

It was great seeing them again, and hopefully we will all be getting back together real soon, like tomorrow at the LAN being hosted at Jo’s coworkers house!

Password Problem

Ok, in order for me to be able to send emails when someone registers first I’d have to register a top level domain, which I do intend to do, then I’d have to pay for the DNS, most likely through DynDns, and then Google Apps would route all the mail for me, since you cannot have a mail server on a non-business account with AT&T.

My temporary solution, or longtime depending on when I get around to it, I’m randomly generating passwords, editing your account, and sending them to the email address that you provided. Now anyone who registers will be able to post and everything should be solved.

Thank you Rick for bringing this to my attention.
