The problem was the game wasn&#8217;t nearly as good.  There really isn&#8217;t a mercy rule, what we do is if you go up by 3 scores then you are only allowed 6 players (normally 8 players) and you only get 3 downs on offense (and you have to punt, no option), but that wasn&#8217;t enough for the game to turn into something ugly.  The teacher who put this all together he warned me.  He said &#8220;it&#8217;s going to be a massacre&#8221;.  I sort of knew he&#8217;d be right.  When it got to be 47 to 8 both teams decided it was over.
